Graham brings years of experience as a high school counsellor with School District 68 to Strides Counselling. His extensive athletic background—including five years playing college basketball at VIU, BC Team member in wheelchair basketball, playing rep hockey in high school, current adaptive crossfit athlete and basketball coach—gives him unique insight into the connection between mental wellbeing and performance.
Having personally navigated grief, loss, and trauma, Graham truly believes in our capability to be resilient and overcome adversity with support. His counselling approach is built on trust and strong therapeutic relationships, working together to develop effective coping strategies while highlighting strengths.
Through 15 years as a teacher, counsellor, and coach, Graham has extensive experience with youth demonstrating a range of social, emotional and educational needs. He excels at team-based approaches, partnering with youth, caregivers, and community partners to help clients heal, evolve, and grow.
Graham integrates CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and play-based modalities to address anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, self-esteem, and sport performance. As a father of two young boys, he values connection and finding joy while navigating life’s challenges.
